Bike carriers

Take your bikes, without compromising your setup

Bringing your bike along should be simple — without sacrificing accessibility, space, or a clean setup.

At FalconVanParts, bike carrier solutions are designed with real-world use in mind. Whether you’re travelling, working, or heading out for a quick ride, your bikes need to be:

  • securely mounted
  • easy to load
  • and integrated with your van setup

No unnecessary complexity. Just functional solutions that work.

Different ways to carry your bike

There is no one-size-fits-all solution. The right setup depends on your van, your usage, and how often you carry your bikes.

On this page you’ll find different options, each with its own approach:

  • Rear door mounted solutions
Clean integration, compact and close to the van. Ideal when you want a fixed and minimal setup without extra systems.
  • Hitch-mounted carriers
Strong and versatile, often suitable for heavier bikes or multiple bikes. Requires a tow hitch and can extend further behind the vehicle.
  • Modular / custom setups
Flexible solutions that can be integrated with other accessories (cargo frame, storage, etc.), depending on your needs.

Each option has its own advantages depending on accessibility, weight, and how often you use your rear doors.

Horizontal mounting (door-mounted)

The bike is mounted horizontally and moves together with the right rear door when opened.

Advantages:

  • Leaves space below the bikes for additional components
(e.g. spare wheel, cargo box or other accessories)
  • Compact integration, close to the van
  • Efficient use of available space on the rear door

Considerations:

Works best with lighter bikes (carbon or aluminium)

The bike needs to be lifted to a relatively high position

Less suitable for heavy bikes such as e-bikes

the bike-rack swings always open when you open the back-door of the campervan, even when there is no bike on the carrier.

Vertical mounting (push‑rack system)

The bike is mounted vertically by clamping at the handlebar and saddle using a push‑rack system.

Advantages:

  • No heavy lifting required, easier loading compared to horizontal systems
  • Suitable for a wide range of bike types
  • Quick and practical to use

Considerations:

May affect manoeuvrability and parking in tight spaces

The bike extends further behind the van (approx. ±1 metre)

Vertical mounting (wheel-based / 1UP-style)

The bike is mounted vertically and supported by the wheels (similar to a 1UP-style system).

Advantages:

  • Stable mounting via the wheels
  • No contact with frame (ideal for sensitive or high-end bikes)
  • Suitable for different bike geometries
  • Possible to load 3 bikes

Considerations:

Requires sufficient clearance at the rear of the vehicle

The bike extends further behind the van (approx. ±1 metre)
